My name is Andrii Alsufiev.

Today, I am a successful and sought-after photographer. I have been working in commercial photography since 2003. My work has been published in many well-known magazines, catalogs, newspapers, and online news portals. My regular clients include high-ranking officials, movie and show business stars, as well as banks, law firms, and oil and gas companies, and such well-known brands as “Coca-Cola,” “Cartier,” “PROCTER & GAMBLE,” “LUXOPTICA,” “AUCHAN,” “COREL TRAVEL,” “COSMO,” “RENAULT,” “TOYOTA,” and others.

From 2004 to 2007, I served as the official representative in Ukraine for the WIN INITIATIVE photo bank (New York, USA). I participated in and won awards at various photo exhibitions and competitions. I have repeatedly served as a judge for photo contests at various levels. In 2016, I served as the chair of the jury for the nationwide “My Country” contest (Ukraine).

In 2006, I began offering private photography lessons. From 2009 to 2017, I was a co-founder, director, and instructor at one of the best photography schools in Ukraine at the time. Since 2017, I have been the founder and director of the international educational project “Andrey Alsufiev’s Academy of Creativity,” with students from 36 countries around the world.

I have conducted in-person photography masterclasses in Berlin (Germany), Budapest (Hungary), Vienna (Austria), Kraków (Poland), Prague (Czech Republic), and in many cities across Ukraine.

Today I’m a happy person because I’m doing what I love and helping others achieve their goals.
But it wasn’t always like that… At the very beginning of my career, I never even dreamed of a life like this. At that time, I was concerned with just one question: WHERE CAN I GET THE MONEY TO PAY FOR RENT AND FOOD!

I didn’t have my own camera, I didn’t have my own studio, I didn’t have a portfolio, but I knew for sure that I wanted to become a photographer. I had no idea how I was going to do it. It was really hard… The only thing I knew for certain was that, in order to achieve anything, you have to learn and put what you learn into practice right away.

My first photo shoot went completely the opposite way. They handed me a camera and said, “Go take some pictures”… And up until that point, I’d only watched a few photo shoots from the sidelines! I had no choice but to start taking pictures. I started doing the best I could… Naturally, a lot of it didn’t turn out right, but there were people nearby I could ask for advice, and I did ask. I asked a lot. I asked and put it into practice right away!

Ever since then, that’s how I’ve lived my life—I learn and put what I learn into practice right away. I’m constantly learning, and I learn only from the best. And in turn, I take great pleasure in passing on all that knowledge and experience to my students. By the way, some of them have long since become more successful in their own fields than their teacher 🙂

I am truly grateful to the people who once believed in me, answered my questions, supported me, and helped me. Now I do the same for my students, because I believe that every person is a genius from birth. We just need to bring out that GENIUS and show it to the whole world.
